"Once there were more black businesses in the heart of Sewickley than can be counted on two hands. This one remains."
Rich Engler has been a rock and roll concert promoter since the 1960s. His book Behind The Stage Door is a ride through the years and a compilation of 80 tracks (chapters) and over 300 photos, posters, and admats from his personal collection.
One of the stories features Carlos and Norman's Cuttin' Edge Barber Shop. On October 1, 1998, the Bare Naked Ladies were playing in Pittsburgh on a Sunday night. The band members were in need of a hair cut. Specifically, they needed a fade cut and Rich called the one person he knew would be able to help. Carlos came to the rescue and opened the shop to provide the service.
